About San Juanico
San Juanico is a small fishing village inside a bay south facing on the Pacific coast of Baja California Sur. The main employers in the city are the local fishing cooperative and tourism related services. The town began life as a center for the abalone harvest, and now has a fleet of pangas managed by the cooperative. They fish throughout the year including lobster and abalone seasons. San Juanico is a bit isolated for some visitors, but it is the main city and service center for those who drive cattle or goats in many of the surrounding ranches and in the Sierra.
